Challenge
During a clinical trial, patient recruitment and retention are supervised by the Medical Liaison, in consultation with teams at the various clinical sites. This essential task is carried out manually, with each ML using different tools such as Note or Excel, without centralization of data and updates. Information is scattered and potentially poorly communicated, which can slow down the duration of a clinical trial by several years.
Solution
In two months, I designed an interface that provides the Medical Liaison with all the information needed to communicate with the clinical team, centralized in one place: recruitment statistics, participant demographics, and health status monitoring, presented in an accessible graphical format.

Process
As part of a Product Trio, I first conducted user interviews with Medical Liaisons based in the United States and then designed, in the form of sprints over a two-month period, an initial iteration of this monitoring platform.
Result
It was a great opportunity, as a consultant, to quickly design an initial prototype in collaboration with a development team, while discovering the complexity and richness of the healthcare industry. The speed with which we intervened inspired the internal project team, which was used to developing concepts over several years.
This project, along with others, contributed to the creation of an internal innovation design hub a few months later, and is still in development with a dedicated product team.
